President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation in a telecast on Saturday, Naija News reports.

This was made known by the Presidency in a statement on Friday.

Saturday is October 1, Nigeriaโ€™s 62nd Independence Anniversary.

A statement signed by presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina said: โ€œAs part of activities commemorating the 62nd Independence Anniversary of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 7 am.

โ€œTelevision, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.โ€

Naija News understands that tomorrow’s live broadcast would be President Buhari’s Independence Day speech as he is expected to handover on the 29th of May 2023.
