President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation in a telecast on Saturday, Naija News reports.
This was made known by the Presidency in a statement on Friday.
Saturday is October 1, Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Anniversary.
A statement signed by presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina said: “As part of activities commemorating the 62nd Independence Anniversary of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 7 am.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.”
Naija News understands that tomorrow’s live broadcast would be President Buhari’s Independence Day speech as he is expected to handover on the 29th of May 2023.
