The National Cash Transfer Unit in Niger State has trained 333 facilitators to enroll 219,125 beneficiaries into the second phase of National Social Safety Nets Project Scale-Up (NASSP2-SU) in the state.
Head of Niger State National Cash Transfer Unit, Malam Suleiman Hussaini Kpange, has warned the 333 trained faolitators against perpetrating any fraudulent act during enrollment of the 219,125 under the programme in the state.
The state head of the programme gave the warning during the one-day step down training into the second phase of National Social Safety Nets Project Scale-Up (NASSP2-SU) in Minna.
He explained that the programme has zero tolerance for deceitful act from any officer, hence any found wanting would be dealt with decisively.
According to him, the NASSP2-SU has three components which include the Economic Shock Response (ESR-CT) Rural, Economic Shock Response (ESR-CT) Urban and Extended Regular (ER-CT) for existing cash transfer beneficiaries.
He stated that beneficiaries of ESR-CT were selected from the National Social Register and Rapid Respond Register while ER-CT are existing beneficiaries in the NBR.
Kpange said,” the purpose of the training is to equip facilitators with basic skills and techniques on how to enroll beneficiaries of both ESR-CT and ER-CT.
“We are calling on the trainees to pay attention to the training, ask questions in areas they don’t understand so as to apply skills and techniques learned in executing the task ahead of them.”
Speaking, the Focal Person and Special Adviser to the Gov Mohammed Umaru Bago on National Social Investment Programme (SIP), Hajiya Hauwa Bako urged facilitators to be diligent in the discharge of their duties, adding that the NASSP2-SU is in line with the current administration in the state.
