The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, generated N5.63 billion as revenue.
The Commission disclosed this in its recently released Q2 2023 Electricity on Demand report earlier this week.
It spent N2.46 billion as expenditure in Q2 2023.
According to the NERC report, in 2023/Q2, the Commission generated revenue of N5.63 billion, showing an increase of N0.90 billion (19.12 per cent) compared to the N4.73 billion income in the previous quarter (2023/Q1).
During the same period, the Commission’s total expenditure increased by N0.66 billion (36.80 per cent), rising from N1.80 billion in 2023/Q1 to N2.46 billion in 2023/Q2.
The Commission maintained a positive net cash flow of N3.17 billion in the quarter.
The figure represented the 16th consecutive quarter with positive cash flow, highlighting the Commission’s strong financial performance.
