Nasarawa: Students, staff stranded as rainstorm destroys GSSS Takalafia

Government Senior Secondary School, Takalafia in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State was on Wednesday evening destroyed by a heavy rainstorm.

The incident also affected other facilities in the school premises.

According to a community leader, the incident has left both staff and students stranded on Thursday as school resumed.

While reacting in a statement, Comrade Sunday Soko of the Takalafia Students Union, TASU, called on the government and other public-spirited person and groups to intervene to alleviate the suffering the school is facing as a result of the rainstorm.
