President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, read out the twenty-eight ministerial nominee list sent to the Senate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday.

OsunDailyNG reports that the ministerial list was delivered to the Senate on Thursday by the Presidentโ€™s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The list unveiled by Akpabio at exactly 01:19 pm today consists of both technocrats and politicians, including former Governors.

Former Governors Malam Nasir El-Rufai [Kaduna], Nyesom Wike [Rivers State], Muhammed Badaru Abubakar [Jigawa] and David Umahi [Ebonyi State] made the much-awaited ministerial list.

Watch the video below as Senate President, Akpabio read out Tinubuโ€™s ministerial nominees before his colleague:

One of the technocrats on Tinubuโ€™s ministerial listย is a former deputy governor of operations of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Adebayo Adelabu.

OsunDailyNG recalls that Adelabu participated in the last governorship election in Oyo State. The Accord Party candidate, however, polled 38,357 votes to come third behind Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 256,685 votes as they both lost to Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 563,756 votes in the March 18 election.
