The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, Fr Ejike Mbaka on Wednesday distanced himself from a report claiming that he prophesied against the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.
There had been claims (not Naija News) that Fr Mbaka during last Sunday mass prophesied that Obi will be defeated in the 2023 presidential election.
Fr Mbaka in a video shared on his Facebook account while heading to the monastery denied prophesying against Obi on Sunday.
Mbaka, while reacting to the rumour, noted that he did not mention Obi, talkless of saying Peter during Sunday mass.
He called on the authors of the report to apologise, adding that he has forgiven them for trying to put the Adoration ministry in trouble.
Fr Mbaka said, โAfter handing over to Fr Anthony Amadi on Sunday, I started hearing that Fr Mbaka spoke against Peter Obi.
โI Rev Fr Mbaka on that Sunday never mentioned Peter not to talk of Obi. Please whoever is being used by the devil to blackmail me in the name of doing any job for anybody, is satanic and should apologize, withdraw such nefarious, and satanic utterances and be careful when you want to harm the image of a man of God.”
He added that he has not asked anyone to protest for him, stressing that he does not want to hear that there is any protest done to express anger towards his journey to the monastery.
The cleric said the protest planned on his behalf might jeopardize his priestly call.
He called for peace and encouraged his followers to pray, adding that God will do the rest for them.
Mbaka speakingย on his journey to the monastery said: โI want to use this opportunity to bless you, encourage you as I depart to the monastery in obedient to my Bishop, His Lordship Callistus Onaga, I am going to the monastery under priestly obedience and I wish to encourage you fellow adorers to remain calm and be still.
โThis is a time we shall know real adorers. Please back me with your prayers so that I will go and embark on deeper reflection, sober contemplations and interior waiting on the Lord.
โI want to assure you that God has plans for us for a future and hope and not of disaster. Use this opportunity to call on God for integral wellness and wellbeing of the adoration ministry that is the apple of Godโs eyes.”
He warned his members not to express anger at this time of his absence from the Adoration ministry.
Speaking on the new director, Mbaka urged all adorers to obey, pray and listen to Fr Anthony Amadi, noting that he will be back in a short while.
