English professional footballer, Luke Shaw, has extended his time at Manchester United after he penned a long-term contract with the Red Devils.
OsunDaily News recalls that the left-back joined Man United from Southampton in 2014.
After a decade, the Red Devils triggered a one-year extension on Shawโs current contract in December, but he would have been a free agent in the summer of 2024.
However, the 27-year-old signed to paper a new four-year deal that will see him stay at Old Trafford until June 2027, the club announced on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
โNine years ago, I signed for this amazing club, and Iโm thrilled to be extending my stay,โ Shaw told the clubโs website today.
He added: โIโve grown immensely since coming to Manchester all those years ago, both as a person and as a player; I know what is needed to succeed at a club like this.
โWeโre at the beginning of our journey under the manager and his coaching staff. Weโve been successful already this season, but we want much more.
โThereโs a great opportunity to create something special here, and Iโm going to give everything to be part of that.โ
