Accreditation and voting have commenced in some polling units in Ibadan in the local government election in Oyo State.
The election is being conducted in the 33 local government areas by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC.
OsunDailyNG however learnt that there are reports of late arrival of materials in some polling units.
Some of the local government areas visited by our correspondent include Ido, Ibadan North, and Ibadan North East local government areas.
A visit to polling unit 1, Ward 11 in Ibadan North East Local Government confirmed that accreditation and voting have commenced.
An electoral officer who spoke to our correspondent said the exercise started around 8:30 am.
“This is ward 11 unit 1, Ibadan North East local government area. We started accreditation and voting at 8:30 am. People have been coming here to vote.
“You can see, people have been coming here to vote,” the officer said.
