He said the commandโs spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the officers in charge of the gender unit, medical and works are members of the committee.
Mr Owohunwa said the committee was set up with a view to having a befitting centre under the command, where the crimes mentioned would have all the attention and investigations they deserved.
He said that the mandate of the committee included working out and designing a centre or working on the existing one to reflect the purposes of the unit.
The police boss said the committee would also design the protocols, standard operating procedures and act as open outreach that would encourage public support against the crimes.
Mr Owohunwa said that the committee, after establishing the centre, would train the personnel that would work at the place, reach out to the stakeholders and connect to the Lagos state agency handling similar matters.
He noted that the new centre by the committee was a further step and commitment by the command on war against domestic, gender and sexual-based violence in Lagos State.
