The candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) Usman Ahmed Ododo is leading in the ongoing collation of the governorship election in Kogi State.

In the result announced so far by various collation officers at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Lokoja, Ododo has won seven Local Governments out of 21.

Ododo won in Adavi, Bassa, Ijumu, Kabba, Kogi LGA, Mopamuro and Yagba West Local Government Areas.

His close rival, Muritala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party, (SDP) so far has won four Local Governments, namely Ofu, Olamaboro, Idah, and Omala respectively.

Leke Abejide of the Africa Democratic Congress, (ADC) only Yagba East Local Government of Kogi State.
