Former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has congratulated the ministerial nominees of President Bola Tinubu.
OsunDailyNG earlier reported that the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, ended speculations on Thursday afternoon as he presented the president’s ministerial nominee list before the Senate for screening and confirmation.
Gbajabiamila, the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, presented the list to Senate President, Godswill Akpabio at exactly 01:19 pm.
Akpabio thereafter read the ministerial list with 28 nominees.
Keyamo, who was missing from the list, was mocked online, especially as he had always defended every decision of Tinubu online.
Amidst the exclusion from the list of nominees, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain said those nominated deserve it.
He tweeted: “Huge congratulations to all the ministerial nominees by the President @officialABAT; very well deserved”
We Must Endure The Pains Of Tinubu’s Steps
Meanwhile, Festus Keyamo has urged Nigerians to endure the pains of President Tinubu’s decision amidst the hardship in the country.
OsunDailyNG reports that the recent price hike of fuel had triggered outrage among Nigerians even as business owners and members of the organised private sector expressed fear over the possible shutdown of businesses and job losses.
Following the public criticism that followed the plans to distribute monthly cash grants of N8,000 to 12 million households for six months as part of efforts to cushion the hardship occasioned by fuel subsidy removal, the Federal Government said it would review the earlier plans.
Festus Keyamo, in a post via Twitter, likened the effects of Tinubu’s decisions on Nigerians to a patient who had recently undergone surgery and still will also endure the pains of some chemotherapy.
According to him, Nigerians must endure the pains of Tinubu’s steps in repositioning the economy into a healthy and vibrant one.
