The Chief Spokesman of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC), Festus Keyamo, has reacted to the court order stopping theย National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Julius Abureย from parading himself as the leader of the party.
OsunDaily News earlier reported that theย Federal Capital Territory High Court had on Wednesday issued an order restraining Abure, the partyโs National Secretary, Farouk Ibrahim; National Organising Secretary, Clement Ojukwu; and Treasurer, Oluchi Opara,ย from parading themselves as LP national officers.
Justice Hamza Muazu issued the restraining order while ruling in an ex-parte application argued by one James Onoja.
Onoja in his application, told the court how Abure and the others allegedly forged several documents of the FCT High Court to carry out unlawful substitutions in the last general elections.
In his ruling, Justice Muazu held that the application and the supporting affidavits are a good case for the request to be granted.
He, therefore, subsequently ordered that the four officers be immediately stopped from parading themselves as National Officers of the party.
Reacting to the development via his Twitter account on Wednesday, Keyamo berated the party over the current challenge affecting its national leadership.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment mocked the LP for claiming to be the new breeds who wants to reform the country.
He wrote: โLadies and gentleman, I present to you the โnew breedsโ who want to reform Nigeria! Chai!โ
