The chief spokesperson of the Tinubu presidential campaign team, Festus Keyamo has taken to social media to mock some supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi over their protest in Washington, United States of America.
Sharing a picture on Tuesday after the protest held on Monday, Keyamo mocked the protesters over the turnout for the protest.
OsunDaily News recalls some Nigerians living in America under the aegis of the Nigerian American Coalition for justice and democracy had secured permission from the US government department of the interior, to stage a protest against the outcome of Nigeria’s 2023 Presidential election held on February 25.
The convener, Franklin Ekechukwu disclosed that the aim of the protest is to express their displeasure and rejection of the election.
The group announced their intention to present their Visa ban list to the White House, US Congress, and State Department on Monday, April 3, 2023, during their protest in Washington DC.
However, after the protest, Keyamo mocked the protesters by sharing their pictures on his own social media account.
Taking to his Twitter account on Tuesday, he wrote: “This is what ‘shutting down’ Washington by a group of Peter Obi’s supporters look like in protest of their ‘stolen mandate.”
