A lone car crash claimed the life of an officer of the Kebbi State Police Command, on Sunday.
According to the command’s image maker, SP Nafiu Abubakar, the lone accident reportedly happened along Koko/Jega road.
He explained that a police Toyota Land Cruiser jeep with registration number 5465D was conveying nine officers to a crime scene at Kendawa village, Dutsinmari, under Koko/Besse local government area, during which it had a burst tyre.
He added that the vehicle somersaulted many times killing inspector Said Idiya and injuring eight others now receiving treatment at Kebbi Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kebbi.
The PPRO said, “The late inspector has been buried according to Islamic rites while the injured officers are still in the hospital.”
