The Jigawa State Government said workers will soon start enjoying wage allowances and other palliatives.
The Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen on Friday.
According to him: “I’m appealing to our teaming civil servants to be patient, as the state government will soon announce the agreed amount and month for the payment.
“As I’m talking to you now, we are about to enter a meeting with the leaders of the state chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) in my office.”
He said the main agenda of the meeting is to discuss and agree on the wage award amount to be given by the state government to its workers.
He further said that the state government, under the leadership of Gov Umar Namadi, is committed to ensuring the welfare of civil servants.
