France International, N’Golo Kante is expected to miss the 2022 World Cup due to a hamstring injury that keeps coming back.
OsunDaily News recalls that Chelsea’s midfielder picked up a knock during the London derby tie against Tottenham on August 14, 2022, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The Frenchman has since then missed every of Chelsea’s ten games.
According to L’Equipe, Kante will now miss the World Cup, which will be a huge loss for his country.
When questioned about the situation involving his midfielder during a pre-match press conference, Graham Potter expressed some unhappiness, saying: “It’s a setback, it’s not good news. He’s due to see a consultant this weekend.”
While speaking to Daily Mail, Potter said “He had a reaction during training. It’s obviously not ideal. It’s disappointing for him and for us. We have to wait and see how serious it is and then we’ll take it from there.”
Graham Potter and Chelsea will be concerned about Kante’s injury as well due to the busy schedule they have up until November 13, when the Premier League takes a break for the World Cup.
