Governor Dauda Lawal has charged the people of Zamfara State to use the season of Maulud to pray and seek Godโs face for divine intervention to restore peace and tranquillity in the state.
The Governor said there will be no development of any form in the absence of peace, insisting that peace remains the basic unit of development.
Governor Lawal was the guest of honour at the annual Maulud celebration, known as Maulud Rabidah, held in the State capital, Gusau.
Lawal said his presence at the event reflects the governmentโs commitment towards fostering peace and tolerance among the people of the state.
He urged the people of Zamfara to take responsibility for one anotherโs well-being and work together towards a peaceful and prosperous state.
The Governor tasked the people to uphold moral values and follow the Holy Prophetโs (SAW) teachings, especially to train children to seek knowledge and good virtues.
โAs a leader who cares for the welfare of the people, I passionately implore religious leaders and the public to actively participate in identifying and reporting any pressing issues that require the governmentโs immediate attentionโ, he said.
