The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Oyo State has received both non-sensitive and sensitive materials ahead of Saturdayโ€™s re-run election in the state.

OsunDailyNG reports that the re-run election in Saki West state Constituency has been fixed for Saturday.

The Commission in Oyo has now received both non-sensitive and sensitive materials to be used for the election at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Ibadan branch in the Dugbe area.

The materials were received by the Commission amid tight security, before representatives of major political parties, INEC administrative secretary, Mr Agboola Razaq and other stakeholders.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr Rahman Adeniran Tella, while speaking, said the Commission received six cartons of materials containing ballot papers, result sheets and replacement forms.

He said the Commission would use two BVAS machines and two backups for the exercise.

He added that the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Hamzat Adebola has promised to deploy 182 police officers for the election.
