Popular Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to a statement by former Edo governor, Adams Oshiomhole, claiming that President Bola Tinubu’s government inherited a terrible economic situation.

Oshiomhole, while addressing newsmen on Tuesday, had urged Nigerians to be patient as the present administration was taking steps to revamp the economic crisis in the country.

He stated this after meeting with the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He added that President Tinubu and his deputy had shown courage and determination to stop the corruption of the subsidy regime in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Reacting to Oshiomhole statement, Yesufu who has often criticized the former present Muhammadu Buhari administration stated that she was right after all.

She described the former administration as incompetent and clueless.

Speaking via Twitter, she wrote, “So incompetent, clueless, corrupt inept and a failure (ICCIF) was accurate after all and inspite of the attacks.”

Yesufu Reacts As 21 Soldiers Are Killed In Niger State

Meanwhile, Yesufu, has expressed sadness over the killings of 21 soldiers and senior army officers in an attack in Niger State.

OsunDailyNG had reported that the soldiers were attacked in Kundu village close to the Zungeru community in the Wushishi Local Government Area (LGA) of Niger state.

It was revealed that the security operatives were trying to prevent the criminals from escaping with some rustled cattle when the bandits ambushed them, leading to the casualties, including five vigilantes who were injured by bullets.

An eyewitness who spoke to Channels Television said that the corpses of the 21 military personnel were deposited at the same Zungeru hospital where the injured vigilante group were receiving medical treatment.

It was also revealed that 13 of the troops were killed in an encounter on Sunday, while eight others were killed on Monday in the ambush in which a two-star captain and a major were reportedly involved.

In a Twitter post on Monday, Yesufu said she wonders how Nigerians who have loved ones in the military are able to cope with the news of killings of soldiers by terrorists.

She wrote: “Kai! I just wonder how people who have loved ones in the military are able to cope with these.“
