The Ondo State House of Assembly members have agreed to suspend impeachment processes against the stateโs deputy governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
According to a post on the All Progressives Congressโs social media platform, X, on Tuesday, the development was to allow for political solutions.
The statement disclosed that lawmakers met with the partyโs reconciliation committee and the NWC.
DAILY POST reported that the National Working Committee, NWC, of the APC, on Tuesday, met with members of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
The meeting followed moves by the assembly members to impeach Ayiedatiwa.
Recall that the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, had set up a nine-man reconciliation committee led by Aminu Bello Masari in a bid to stop the impeachment move.
All members of the committee, including the state chairman of the APC, Ade Adetimehin, were in attendance during the Tuesdayโs meeting.
