The Commissioner of Police of Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, alongside his management team, has decorated 24 newly promoted officers of the command with their new ranks.
While congratulating the newly decorated officers at the Senior Police Officersโ Mess in Owerri, CP Aboki Danjuma said the promoted senior police officers include three Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP) and twenty-one (21) Superintendents of Police (SP) with their new ranks amidst cheers from families, friends, and well-wishers.
He recounted, โThe affected officers include; the Officer in charge of the Commandโs Cyber Crime unit, CSP Okoye Echezona Kelvin, the officer in charge of the Lion Squad Tactical Unit, CSP Humphrey Nwaneri Osuala, personal assistant to the CP, SP Kamanthan Garba Isaiah, Station Officer of the Operations Department, SP Mohammed Anas, Commander Anti-Narcotics, SP Mohammed Ali, Second in Charge of IGP X-Squad, Imo State Command, SP Oparaugo Samuel Obidima, amongst others.โ
While congratulating the newly decorated officers on their well-deserved promotions, the Commissioner of Police emphasized that promotion calls for greater responsibility and charged the affected officers to brace up for tasks that come with their new rank.
Recognizing the importance of upholding the tenets of professionalism and diligence, the CP charged the officers to strive towards excellence in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
In appreciation, CSP Okoye Echezona Kelvin, on behalf of the newly decorated officers, appreciated the Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police for the confidence reposed in them by elevating them to their next substantive rank.
He assured the Commissioner of Police and his management that they would continue to give their best towards achieving the organizational goals of the Force.
He thanked friends and well-wishers present for being a part of their celebration.
