I’m tired of being exploited by movie executives – Actress, Henson

American Hollywood star, Taraji P. Henson has bemoaned the exploitation of Black women in the entertainment industry.

The ‘Acrimony’ actor lamented that she was tired of being exploited and hearing other female Black entertainers complain of the same thing.

Speaking in a recent podcast interview with SiriusXM, Henson said she earned far less than she deserved.

She said, “I’m just tired of working so hard, being gracious at what I do and being paid a fraction of the cost.

“I’m tired of my sisters saying the same thing over and over. You get tired. I hear people go, ‘You work a lot.’ The math ain’t mathing, every time I negotiate, it’s like I’m starting from the bottom.” (sic)
