In a joint statement released today, political appointees from Ijesha North Federal Constituency have refuted claims made by Hon. Wole Oke regarding Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration and its impact on the region. The appointees, including Commissioners Prince Bayo Ogungbangbe, Mayowa Adejorin, and Otunba Tola Faseru, emphasized the significant strides made by the Governor in Ijesha North.
The statement criticized Hon. Oke for spreading misinformation that could potentially mislead constituents.
“It is disheartening and reprehensible to see a long-serving representative of our people spread misinformation that could potentially mislead our constituents,” the Commissioners stated.
The appointees highlighted several key achievements under Governor Adeleke’s leadership:
Unprecedented Political Representation: Three commissioners, the highest number in the constituency’s history, have been appointed from Ijesha North
Infrastructure Development: Ongoing construction of 1.5km of roads in each local government, rehabilitation of 13 Primary Health Centers, and construction of classrooms in over eight schools demonstrate the Governor’s commitment to infrastructure development.
Empowerment Initiatives: The Ward-Based Cooperatives initiative has empowered residents across all 22 wards in Ijesha North.
The appointees urged Hon. Oke to refrain from actions that could disrupt the unity of purpose needed for further progress in Ijesha North. They emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to enhance the growth and development of the region.
The statement concluded with a reaffirmation of the appointees’ commitment to working alongside Governor Adeleke to ensure continued progress in Ijesha North and Osun State as a whole.
