Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, DJ Switch has disclosed what she did when she was given an opportunity to speak about renowned writer, Wole Soyinka at an event.

According to the entertainer, she did not hesitate to โ€œroastโ€ him when she took the stage.

Speaking via her X account, DJ Switch boasted that she made sure she came down hard on the writer.

The DJ said she made sure no single bullet went astray

According to her, โ€œWas a panelist at an event over the weekend and just before the event started, we all got talking about African writers and of course, Nigeriaโ€™s contribution.

โ€œSomeone brought up Wole Soyinka (whose works are quite exceptional if I might add)โ€ฆ and I was given the floor.

โ€œBrethrenโ€ฆ I would like to let you people know that I did not let one bullet go astray! Wole Soyinka unlike many of his counterparts chose to be completely separate from his works and also chose to display his bigotry and myopic thinking these past few months. It was my esteemed pleasure to roast the uncle while maintaining decorum and extol other Nigerian writers!โ€

This comes after Wole Soyinka said the leadership of the Labour Party (LP) knew that Peter Obi lost the February 25 election.

Speaking at an event which took place in Stellenbosch, South Africa, Soyinka said: โ€œPeter Obi achieved something remarkable there, that he broke that mould. However, he did not win the election.

โ€œI can say categorically that Peter Obiโ€™s party came third not even second and the leadership knew it but they want to do what we call in Yoruba โ€˜gbajueโ€™, that is force of lies.โ€
