Popular Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has disclosed that her parents died in a fire accident while growing up.

She said the incident has remained her biggest fear.

Makinwa said this on the latest episode of her podcast while hosting comedian Ayo Makun a.k.a. AY.

While asking the comedian about a recent fire incident at his Lagos residence, Toke shared her similar experience many years ago.

She said, “I’ve been a victim of a house fire when I was a kid and unfortunately both my parents died as a result of that. That’s one of my biggest fears.

AY responded: “Sorry about that. I’m just hearing this for the first time.”

“I woke up to about 78 missed calls on the day of the incident. And I opened my phone and saw my house on Instablog.

“The fact that my family was on holiday, was my point of Thanksgiving.”

DAILY POST reports that AY’s residence was gutted by fire in August.
