The Former leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lagos state, Henry Ajomale, claims that he received a constant stream of calls from family members and worried Nigerians regarding the health condition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate.
According to Ajomale, who spoke to The PUNCH, the incident was sparked by social media misinformation that Tinubu had been flown abroad and was fighting for his life.

OsunDaily News understands that on September 25, Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima, his running mate, left Nigeria for London, England.
Last Thursday, to the delight of his supporters, he came home.
Ajomale went on to say that while he was watching the drama in London, he was deluged with sympathetic phone calls and visits from party members and loved ones who wanted to put an end to rumours of Tinubu’s ill health and supposed demise.
“I was also in London but read everything some mischievous people and the opposition parties were saying. Rather than get angry, I found them amusing here in London,” he said.
“I have been bombarded with numerous calls from close friends, anxious supporters of the party and those who know I am in London, wanting to know whether he (Tinubu) was alive or critically ill and all those silly comments about his state of health,” he continued.
“I told them that there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. The man is resting and holding meetings. I don’t understand how critics spend time wandering around looking for what is not lost,” he added.
The former Lagos APC chair, while answering questions on if he met APC presidential candidate, he revealed how strong the constant communication was, and noted they met often times.
