The suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele, has been re-arrested by the Department of State Service (DSS) on Tuesday despite making bail.
OsunDailyNG reports that Emefiele, who was arraigned today by the DSS on charges of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, was re-arrested by the anti-graft agency at the premises of the Federal High Court, Lagos.
Despite the court ruling, a struggle broke out between DSS operatives and prison officials over Emefieleโs custody.
This dispute at the Federal High Court in Lagos extended for several minutes.
Following the clash, the prison officials departed from the premises of the federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos, and subsequently, Emefiele was taken away by the secret police.
