President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, reacted to the death of Chief George Uwechue, Owelle of Ogwashi-Ukwu, Delta State.

Recall that Uwechue, who was a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), recently passed away at the age of 85.

Tinubu sympathized with the Uwechue family and the Nigerian legal community over the death of the elder statesman.

In a statement signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Tinubu said Uwechue will be โ€˜sorely missedโ€™ for his deep insights and legal acumen.

He described him as an โ€˜outstanding lawyer and a leaderโ€™.

The President prayed to God Almighty to grant the deceased rest and his family the heart to bear the painful loss.
