The Ogun State government has announced the passing of Hon. Tajudeen Egunjobi, the Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Housing.
Egunjobi died on Tuesday after a brief illness, leaving the state in deep mourning.
Governor Abiodun, during a condolence visit to Egunjobiโs family, expressed profound sorrow at the sudden loss, describing it as a โrude shockโ and a significant blow to the administration.
He highlighted Egunjobiโs unwavering commitment and described him as a humble, reliable, and diligent member of his team.
โHe was a very humble, hardworking, conscientious, dependable, and reliable special adviser to this government. His loyalty and dedication to his duties were exceptional,โ Governor Abiodun said, adding, โBesides being an architect, he was a consummate politician and a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly.โ
The governor acknowledged Egunjobiโs substantial contributions to the stateโs housing sector, emphasizing that the administrationโs milestones in this area would not have been possible without his efforts. According to Abiodun, Egunjobiโs impact will be felt and remembered for years to come.
The State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Jagunmolu Jamiu Omoniyi, also paid tribute to the late adviser. Omoniyi described Egunjobi as a loyal and dutiful politician whose influence and hard work played a pivotal role in the success of the stateโs housing initiatives.
In a statement released on behalf of the family, Noah Tajudeen expressed appreciation for the support from the state government and wished Governor Abiodun continued success in his future endeavours.
