Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has described the passing of elder statesman, Alh. Adamu Fika, the Wazirin Fika, as a national loss which has created a vacuum in his family, the Fika Emirate and the State.
He said this through a statement by his media aide, Mamman Mohammed on Wednesday.
โWe have lost a great leader, a wise counsellor, a pride of our state and a gentleman with passion for equity and social justice.
โThe death of Alh. Adamu Fika has closed a door of consultation for our government and created a blockage to borrow from the wealth of experiences of an accomplished technocrat and seasoned administratorโ Gov. Buni said.
โI wish to, on behalf of myself, the government and people of Yobe State express our heartfelt condolences to his family and Fika Emirate.
โI pray to almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul eternal rest in Aljannatur Firdaus.
โI also pray to almighty Allah to grant his family and Fika Emirate the fortitude to bear this huge and irreplaceable lossโ, Gov. Buni prayed.
DAILY POST had earlier reported that the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation died at the age of 90 and will be buried according to Islamic rites on Wednesday in Kaduna by 4 pm.
