In a strong show of support for Osun State’s leadership, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke and his administration for their exceptional governance. This commendation came during Gbajabiamila’s visit to the Government House in Osogbo for the inaugural lecture of the Osun State University.

Addressing attendees, Gbajabiamila stated, “You and members of your team are doing a phenomenal job in the state and on the national pedestal,” highlighting the Governor’s commitment to prioritizing effective governance over political interests in his dealings with the Federal Government.

Gbajabiamila noted the importance of collaboration between the Federal Government and state authorities, emphasizing that working together is essential for the betterment of the people they serve. He also recognized the efforts of Osun’s representatives in the National Assembly, particularly Hon. Bamidele Salam, whose leadership in the House Committee on Public Account is helping the APC-led Government tackle corruption.

In response, Governor Adeleke expressed his appreciation for Gbajabiamila’s visit, referring to him as a “brother and partner in progress.” He credited President Tinubu for steering Nigeria back towards greatness and highlighted the positive impacts of the leadership within the Federal Government.

Adeleke also emphasized the significance of the recently introduced National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which aims to ensure that Nigerians have uninterrupted access to quality tertiary education. He reassured that the Osun State Government is fully committed to complementing the Renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu through a comprehensive five-point agenda that focuses on economic prosperity for the state.

In a call to action, Governor Adeleke urged fellow Southwest governors to support the NELFUND initiative, stressing the necessity for the Yoruba community to seize the opportunities it provides for students.

The positive exchange between Gbajabiamila and Adeleke reflects a united front for the progressive development of Osun State and Nigeria at large, paving the way for enhanced governance and educational opportunities.
