A fire outbreak is currently raging at the new female hostel at Yobe State University, Damaturu.
OsunDailyNG learnt that the fire broke out some minutes after 7 pm, on Tuesday, at a time when most of the students had gone out for night reading and other activities within the school.
As of the time of filing this report, the university’s firefighters and the State Fire Service are battling to contain the raging fire.
The cause of the inferno has not yet been established.
