A Kaduna State farmer faced bandits when they came to abduct him, resulting in the death of their leader.
The bandits, who had previously killed the farmerโs children, came back to abduct the farmer, however, they were met with resistance.
During the confrontation, Wizi, the banditsโ leader, ordered one of his men to shoot the villager.
The shot missed, hitting the farmerโs son instead, and the farmer killed the leader.
A community leader, preferring anonymity, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, marking a rare occasion where the terrorizing bandits faced retribution.
He said โAs the son lay injured on the ground, the bandit attempted to stab him with a machete. In a courageous act to protect his son, the father fought back.
โHe (father) managed to wrestle the gun away from Wizi, prompting the other bandits to flee in fear. The fight escalated, resulting in Wizi getting shot by the villager.โ
