โ€œWith pain in our hearts and unconditional faith in the Love of God, we announce the passing of our mother, wife, sister, and grandmother Deaconess Victoria Nneka Chidoka at the age of 75 on Monday, April 3 at her residence.

โ€œMama Osi, as she is fondly called, passed peacefully surrounded by family and our loving thoughts as she came to the end of her courageous battle with health issues.

โ€œAt this time, we pray for Godโ€™s love, mercy, and grace upon her and those left behind to mourn her. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly by the family,โ€ย the politician wrote on his social media page.

Meanwhile, it was announced earlier that a former spokesman of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Commodore Wapkerem Maigida, has died.

OsunDaily News learnt that Maigida slumped and died on Sunday in Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Former Director of the Public Relations and Information (DOPRI) group, Captain Sadeeq Shehu (rtd), disclosed the news of Maigidaโ€™s death on his Facebook page.

He wrote, โ€œI join the Chief of the Air Staff, officers and men and DOPRI personnel to mourn the death of Air Commodore Wap Maigida. A dependable subordinate to his superiors and a compassionate superior to his subordinates.โ€

Maigida assumed office as DOPRI on January 6, 2023, taking over from his predecessor, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, who is now the Commander 551 NAF Station, Jos.

He was also a former Aide-de-Camp to former Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Jonah Wuyep.
