Nigerian musician, Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has queried his twin brother, Peter and their elder brother cum music executive, Jude Okoye, on why they cannot unite as a family even if they are no longer in business.

OsunDailyNG recalls that the crisis between the music duo became public after Paul, in an interview, accused his twin brother of petitioning the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to arrest him.

Reacting to the allegation, Peter denied the accusations in an open letter on social media, stating that his focus was on uncovering the truth behind a secret company, Northside Music, allegedly owned by Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.

In response, Jude, in an Instagram live session on Saturday, denied the allegations of diverting P-Square’s royalties worth millions of dollars into a private account.

However, during an Instagram live session on Monday, August 19, 2024, Rudeboy said, “Even if we don’t do P-Square, can’t we be brothers? Even if we can’t do music, can’t we be brothers?

“Like I said, I don’t want to talk much. I don’t used to talk before. It’s so unfortunate.”

In other news, Nigerian high-life singer, Chinedu Okoli, popularly known as Flavour, has recounted how an experience with his colleagues, Psquare, during a music performance on stage changed his career.

OsunDailyNG reports that Flavour, in an interview on the podcast ‘In My Opinion’, revealed that his music career began as a choir conductor and drummer in the church.

The ‘Nwunye Odogwu’ crooner said he was introduced to a music company owner, who specialises in training young people, but he later left the band and transitioned to playing at shows and events, where he honed his skills and built a fan base.

Speaking further, Flavour said his encounter with PSquare was a turning point in his career, stressing that the experience sparked a realisation of the need to create his unique sound and transition from a mere musician to an artiste.
