Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has said Arsenal needed “one deflection” to defeat them 1-0 on Sunday.
Substitute Gabriel Martinelli grabbed the only goal of the game in the 86th minute.
Martinelli’s shot came off Nathan Ake, wrongfooting Ederson in the City goal.
It is Arsenal’s first win over the Premier League champions in 12 matches.
Guardiola, speaking to MOTD, said: “One deflection. We had 10–15 really good moments in the first half. They started the second half well. It was a tight game. Not many chances, one deflection.
“It was a tight game. We defended really well; the players gave everything. It is football; we lost the game. We will come back stronger.”
