Tottenham Hotspur will on Saturday evening host Liverpool in a Premier League match-day seven fixture.

Tottenham head to the game after playing a 2-2 draw with Arsenal in their last Premier League encounter at Emirates Stadium, while Liverpool won 3-1 against West Ham United at home.

Spurs currently sit in the 4th position on the Premier League table with 14 points from six matches, while Liverpool are 2nd with 16 points from the same number of matches.

In the last five matches between the two sides, Tottenham have won one, drawn 2 and lost 2.

The kick-off time for the match is 5:30 p.m.

Tottenham team news

Tottenhamโ€™s Brennan Johnson suffered a hamstring injury in their last Premier League game against Arsenal, while James Maddison suffered a gut-wrenching knee jolt but managed to soldier on for a short period before being withdrawn.

However, scans on Maddisonโ€™s knee are believed to have provided reassuring results and Ange Postecoglouโ€™s side are optimistic that he will be fit to face Liverpool.

The likes of Ivan Perisic (knee), Giovani Lo Celso (thigh), Alfie Whiteman (ankle), Rodrigo Bentancur (knee), Bryan Gil (groin) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) are all recovering from various injuries.

Liverpool team news

Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold is now back with the team following his hamstring problem.

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp is hopeful the right-back will be available against Tottenham.

The likes of Thiago Alcantara (hip) and Stefan Bajcetic (calf) are all recovering from injuries.

Meanwhile, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah will be expected to return to the teamโ€™s starting XI.

Tottenhamโ€™s probable starting XI:

Vicario, Porro, Udogie, Romero, Van de Ven, Sarr, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Maddison and Son.

Liverpoolโ€™s probable starting XI:

Alisson, Matip, Van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones, Nunez, Diaz, Salah.

Prediction:

DAILY POST predicts Liverpool will beat Tottenham. The match will end 2-1 in favour of the reds.
