Former Chelsea defender, Frank Leboeuf, has revealed that those in charge of recruitment at Chelsea are to blame for the club’s woes this season so far.
Leboeuf also expressed concern with the club’s current situation, saying he is disgusted because top players won’t come to the club.
Speaking to Casinos En Ligne, the former France international urged Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly to quickly change things quickly at Stamford Bridge.
Leboeuf said, “Top players won’t come to Chelsea because the club has fallen. It’s unbelievable to see what the club has become just two years on from their Champions League win.
“I’m disgusted with it. I have nothing against Todd Boehly, but they need to change things quickly or else they will kill the club.
“I’d say the people in charge of recruitment are the most to blame. It’s OK to sign young players to long contracts if they are committed, but the board has forgotten to balance the team.“
Chelsea are currently in the second half of the Premier League table after their recent 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at home.
