Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said both Bukayo Saka and Thomas Partey are in contention to face Manchester City this Sunday.
Saka limped off during the Gunnersโ 2-1 defeat to Lens in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The England winger was holding his leg as he fell to the turf, with Arteta confirming that he had suffered a โmuscularโ problem and that it was a โworryโ.
But speaking at his press conference on Friday, Arteta said: โHe is in contention.
โLetโs see how he progresses from here to Sunday.
โObviously, he had to leave the pitch and thatโs never good news, but letโs see how he recovers.โ
Arteta also revealed Thomas Partey will be available for the top-of-the-table clash after recovering from a groin injury.
The Ghanaian midfielder, who has not featured since August, was an unused substitute in the 2-1 loss to Lens.
โHe is ahead of schedule thatโs for sure. We couldnโt play him on Tuesday because we had a lot of necessities. He will be in the squad [against Manchester City],โ Arteta added.
