Meanwhile, Senegalese-American legendary singer, record producer, and entrepreneur, Akon has shared his thoughts on some Nigerian singers and their methods of succeeding in the music industry.
In an interview with SWAY, Akon praised Burna boy and described him as a beast who is always bringing out the ‘Nigerian’ and ‘African’ in his music.
He acknowledged his consistency and commitment to his songs.
Speaking on Wizkid, he called him a superstar who always gives quality music. He argued that Wiz could drop a single record in a year and it would maintain its relevance for the whole year.
Sharing his thoughts on Davido, the record producer called the DMW boss a hard worker and explained that he was once the underdog as people had preferred Wizkid to him.
He insisted that Davido had to work super hard to get to where he is today, adding that his family money makes it easy for him to constantly drop albums and he is able to beat people with quantity over quality because he can afford to.
