The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied claims that it issued an arrest warrant on loan defaulters.
The commission disclosed this in a statement through its official X handle.
The reaction of the anti-graft body comes following a trending document titled โArrest Warrant Processingโ, โLoan Fraud Escalationโ and othersโ.
The commission said the purported document did not emanate from her.
It urged the public to disregard the claim.
โThe attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to some contrived documents on โArrest Warrant Processingโ, โLoan Fraud Escalationโ and others, being circulated by some loan companies, purportedly issued by the Commission against loan defaultersโ, the commission stated.
