American rapper Kanye West has claimed that his colleague Drake signed his soul to โthe devilโ.
He claimed that their fallout was because the Canadian rapper signed to the devil and began going against God which he (Kanye) represents.
Kanye West, who recently hopped on Future and Metro Boominโs โLike Thatโ remix, said he lent his vocals to the song because he was โexcitedโ about the โeliminationโ of Drake from the hip-hop industry.
Speaking on the latest episode of โThe Downloadโ podcast, West said, โItโs like he [Drake] signed his soul to the devil to not be cool with me. This is his job, to go against God.
โPluto [Future] called me, I went to the studio and laid that [my verse on the remix]. Everybody was very, very excited about the elimination of Drake. Not excited โ we was energized.โ
He claimed that Drake has a โrich baby daddyโ in the person of the CEO of Universal Music, Lucian Grainge who influenced his commercial success.
โDrake has a rich baby daddy, named Lucian [Grainge] and Universal. Heโs like, my daddy control the spins, my daddy got the DSPs,โ West said.
