Doma United head coach, Akinade Onigbinde, believes that the midweek rest was crucial to his team’s performance against Gombe United.
Onigbinde said the rest afforded the Savannah Tigers time to perfect their tactics ahead of the matchday seven encounter.
Doma United thrashed Gombe United 3-0 at the Pantami Stadium on Sunday.
“The midweek rest was really important for the player,” he told the club’s media.
“It gives the technical department an opportunity to work on the boys ahead of the Derby against Gombe United.
“The result was an impressive performance as we created more scoring chances.”
Doma United will take on Bendel Insurance in a matchday six rescheduled fixture on Wednesday.
