Abubakar Atiku, President Bola Tinubu
The Court of Appeal’s presidential election petition court has granted a request by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to have its scheduled days for hearing its petition against President Bola Tinubu’s victory at the February 25 poll.
The PDP counsel, Chris Uche, had prayed the court to agree that its scheduled hearing days were interfered with by the June 12 democracy day national holiday.
Mr Uche said the party still had two witnesses to call, and its scheduled time which naturally ended on Tuesday, could not accommodate the witness’s testimony.
After listening to the argument, the tribunal’s lead justice, Haruna Tsammani, ruled that the court would accommodate PDP’s hearing till Thursday, adding two days for the appellants.
