The Federal Government launched Nigeriaโs Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategy for the countryโs aviation sector on Monday at the ongoing Conference of Parties in Dubai.
Minister for Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, disclosed this in a statement through his Special Adviser on Digital Media, Gbenga Saka.
He officially launched Nigeriaโs Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategy, emphasising the nationโs unwavering dedication to adopting environmentally responsible practices.
According to him, the strategy is designed to accelerate sustainable economic progress, address the challenge of climate change, and stimulate low-carbon growth.
According to the statement: โIn a moment of privilege and honour, he officially launched Nigeriaโs Long-Term Low Emission Development Strategy. This document represents the nationโs unwavering dedication to achieving sustainable and environmentally responsible practises.โ
The statement further affirmed that โthe event marked a significant milestone in Nigeriaโs pursuit of a low-carbon future,โ signifying Nigeriaโs transition from fossil fuels to low-emission fuel, contributing to the net zero goal across all sectors of the economy.
