The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) plans to mount compressed gas (CNG) dispensers in around 30,000 fuel terminals throughout the country, using CNG at an expense of N100 to N110 per litre.

Nigerians are taking into consideration transforming their cars to run on natural gas as a result of a considerable boost in fuel costs following completion of fuel subsidy removal by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A recent infographic data released by HydroCIS in partnership with the Nigeria LPG Association (NLPGA), the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), the LPG Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), and the Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG), detail the expenses to convert internal burning engine (ICE) vehicles to run on natural gas.

In some month ago, Nigerians have been actively exploring the possibility of transforming their vehicles to operate gas due to a considerable boost in gas rates.

This surge in rates came after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu revealed the elimination of gas subsidies in the country.

In reaction to the growing demand for an alternate gas source for automobiles, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has introduced its purpose to install pressed natural gas (CNG) dispensers in roughly 30,000 gas terminals across the country. The recommended expense for CNG would certainly range from N100 to N110 per litre.

This initiative by IPMAN aims to supply Nigerians with an extra sustainable as well as budget-friendly alternative for powering their lorries. The success of this transition relies upon the establishment of a durable infrastructure as well as resolving possible difficulties associated with the conversion process. It is essential to recognize the expense implications of car conversions.

What will it cost Nigerians to converts their automobiles?

According to current infographic information published by HydroCIS in partnership with the Nigeria LPG Association (NLPGA), the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), the LPG Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), and also the Association of Local Distributors of Gas (ALDG), right here are the expenses to convert interior burning engine (ICE) cars to run on gas in Nigeria:

What appropriates and what is not?

Gas has various variations and the cited infographic notes that using these variants is suitable for some functions and not ideal for others. The infographic laid out the different uses compressed natural gas, dissolved oil gas as well as liquefied gas as complies with:
