Chelsea have completed the signing of Cole Palmer from Manchester City weeks after Pep Guardiola insisted that the youngster was not for sale.
Chelsea who have been investing heavily in youngsters paid Manchester City ยฃ40 million to secure the signature of the 21-year-old forward.
Cole Palmer, a member of the England Under-21 team that won the 2023 UEFA Euro Under-21 is a product of the Manchester City academy who made his name at the Etihad Stadium when he scored in Cityโs Uefa Super Cup win over Sevilla and their Community Shield loss to Arsenal.
In the quest to get more playing time, Palmer has decided to sign a seven-year contract that includes an additional yearโs option, as well as ยฃ2.5 million in add-ons with Chelsea.
After completing his move to Chelsea earlier today, September 1, Cole Palmer said, โIโm excited to get started and it feels great to sign.
