Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho says he is not in competition with Jamie Vardy for a starting role in the team.
Iheanacho has played second fiddle to Vardy since his arrival at King Power in 2017.
The Nigeria international was the Foxes top scorer last season and was voted the clubโs Player of the Season.
Iheanacho and Vardy have scored four goals each for Enzo Marescaโs side this season.
The 27-year-old expressed his admiration for Vardy and described the Englishman as a legend.
โLet me put that right, itโs never a battle with me and Jamie, heโs a legend in the game, heโs done a lot for this great club, so itโs never a battle for me and Jamie,โ he told LeicestershireLive.
โIโve got absolute respect for him, heโs a legend as Iโve said before, so itโs never a battle.
โIf he plays, he scores, you know what heโs like. So, if I play, I do my bit. Me, Jamie, Patson (Daka), itโs never a battle, we are happy with where we are at the moment.โ
