Southampton manager, Russell Martin has showered encomium on Joe Aribo after his impressive performance against Birmingham City on Saturday.
Aribo came off the bench to score the winning goal for the Saints in the 4-3 away victory at St Andrewโs.
The Nigeria international slotted the ball home from close range to hand Southampton a big win.
It was Ariboโs third goal in 24 league outings for the South Coast this season.
โThe lads love him, the fans love him. Hopefully, everyoneโs really seeing what he has to offer,โ Martin told the clubโs official website.
โHe was amazing on Wednesday [against Liverpool], he probably deserved to play, but he hadnโt played 90 minutes for a long time and was absolutely hanging on Thursday.
โHeโs a brilliant player and an even better character, and for him to score the goal โ I said to him thereโll be a chance for you at some point.
โI was completely guessing, but I hoped, and itโs fallen to him and heโs tucked it away.โ
Southampton sit in fourth position on the table with 70 points from 35 games.
