Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has named Bayern Munich as one of the favourite teams to win the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.
Ten Hag spoke at his post-match press conference after Man United’s Champions League 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night at Old Trafford.
DAILY POST reports that Kingsley Coman’s second half goal ensured Thomas Tuchel’s side eliminated Man United from the Champions League.
“We always have pressure. We want to win every game. You have seen today, against one of the favourites for the Champions League, we go and give everything to win the game,” Ten Hag said.
“There was the belief. We had that before the game, you’ve seen the spirit of the team on the pitch and there will be at Anfield on Sunday.”
He added, “In the end, it is not good enough but I think, today, the performance was very good again and we didn’t deserve to lose.”
